Back in 2017, our founder left what the world called “the dream life”.

This is my story – Bella, the founder of Intelligent Soul 👋

A medical doctor turned time stay-at-home-mom turned accidental entrepreneur of multi 7-figure businesses and a certified life coach.

Sounds cool, right? Except..

Leaving a high flying medical career in the UK, dual income household, a 2-bed apartment near a lush green park..

Was not a walk in the park. (park, park.. See what I did there?)

I've had that burning desire to leave for years then, but I couldn't bring myself to 'simply' quit. So I negotiated with my fear. I did what seemed to be a smart, calculated grown-up move —

I decided to get pregnant.

I was so desperate for a break that I thought the 12 months maternity break would give me enough time to evaluate my next move.

And you bet, I never returned to the medical field. Turned out online entrepreneurship fits my empath, brain-psychology loving self.

Fast forward, 8 years and 3 businesses later..

I found myself deep in the hole of a corporate structured business with legal meetings and shareholder agreements.. That I wasn’t sure I signed up for.

I had escaped one high-achieving identity trap only to build another.

This time, with better fonts and automation.

Success? It became a treadmill I couldn’t get off. So I kept running.

More team. More funnels. More noise.

And in 2021, came the plot twist...

A surprise pregnancy. A daughter after 2 boys.

As if her unannounced conception wasn’t enough, she also arrived unexpectedly in our bathroom. After two previous c-sections.

Unmedicated birth. Unplanned. A divine intervention.

The message was loud and clear:

Slow TF down.

Right when I thought life was a lot, business was complicated, I surrendered to my power.

I knew what I wanted. I just wasn’t sure I was allowed to want it.

Around the same time, I met Bev from Soul’s Calling Academy. (That story is for another time, but just know — it cracked me open. It’s the body of work I’m carrying.)

I finally admitted the truth I’d been circling for years:

⏵ I wanted to build lean and light — without editing my power.
⏵ As much as I love my work, I also wanted to be with my children more.
⏵ I wanted to lead without the burnout badge.

What I found was a quiet confidence — a deep knowing that I am enough, even as my own unfinished, evolving self.

A moment of Inner Leadership.

I stepped aside from operational roles in my other businesses.

Having a Lean Business gave my soul what it was searching for.
