Celebrate with me?
Believe it or not, Reader, celebrating is something I am learning to do.
For a very long time, every achievement, every success felt like an empty check mark in my book of life.
.. Straight As in high school finals ✅
.. Qualified as a doctor, checked ✅
.. GAVE BIRTH TO A BABY IN AN UNMEDICATED LABOUR AFTER 2 PREVIOUS C-SECTION ON OUR BATHROOM FLOOR.. Checked ✅ (I’m still processing this one..)
But since tomorrow is my birthday, I decided to have an early celebration.. HERE WITH YOU!! 🎉🎉
But first, a story.
Last week, Absorich had a live event to kick-off the latest batch of our high-touch mentorship students, The Catalyst. It was SO. MUCH. FUN.
(*in case you’re new here, Absorich is the financial education company I own with my husband, Adam)

Channeling my inner Beyonce
You have to know, it took me more than 2 years to be comfortable with going on stage as WHO I AM, not the version of me who contorted herself to fit into the finance-seminar-personal-development, masculine-led industry, pretending to be all rah-rah-roar when deep down she's all for fun and play.
In other words, I created a SAFE SPACE within myself to simply be.. ME.
I used to struggle with;
Second-guessing myself if our students would like and accept me. (insecure ❌)
Doubting if I could deliver the teachings as good as Adam does. (comparison trap ❌)
Afraid that I’d stumble and our students won’t receive what they need. (not good enough ❌)
Plus.. What if I ever tripped on my 4-inch boots on the stage??!? 😱
For context, Adam is the brand and front face of the company. So naturally people who come to us are attracted to his vibe. But since Absorich was built by 2 people, the VALUE that they experience is a combination of both myself and Adam. This means that deep down, we all share similar values in life.
But I still had that insecurities.
If you look back, my worries were all about me. Me not being liked, me comparing myself to others, me feeling like I’m not good enough..
That was then. I’ve done a lot of work with my own coach in these areas so I could show up as my full, 100% authentic self, and feeling completely SAFE being me. TOTALLY CELEBRATING THIS!! 🎉
During the event, this looked like;
Slow dancing on the stage with our students (staying present and enjoying the moment 💃🏻)
Coaching brand new, first-timer student live on-stage (fully owning my power 💫)
Went back to our AirBnB in between sessions so I could rest (asking for support 🥰)
Your career might not bring you on-stage to the song This Could Change Everything by Francesca Battistelli, but imagine how you would show up 100% as yourself when you pursue that dream, soul-fulfilling career that lights you up in your current season of life.
